Spring Break in Port Angeles, WA

Spring break has come and gone but we made tons of fun memories to last us! We got to spend the majority of the week visiting my brother-in-law Larry and his wife Sheraden in their new city Port Angeles, WA. We even surprised Eric’s sister Korissa who was there visiting over the weekend! Larry and Sher were awesome hosts and showed us around to so many of their favorite places – it was a blast! We went to FinnRiver for some cider tasting, toured some of the towns and bays on the Olympic Peninsula, played on the beach at the Fort Worden state park, hiked through a mossy forest to the Marymere Falls, ate some delicious BBQ and spent lots of quality time together in their cute home! (Sher I’m still thinking about all those cute pillows and that coffee maker! 😉 )

At FinnRiver CideryReceiving a tasting of blueberry brandy in tiny dark chocolate cups was one of my faves of the tasting! I also loved the Solstice Saffron cider which he said they created as their special winter blend to brighten up the new year.

The brats and cabbage were perfect after filling my belly with ciders 🙂 This also reminded me that I love cabbage and need to make it more.Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetThe quaint town of Port Townsend
When the wind dies down, the clouds clear and the sunshine coats everything in golden hues you know you’re meant to be there in that moment – we all soaked it in.
A selfie with the whole crew is the best kind of selfie Gosh I love her – keeper for life! Like I said, we got down on some good BBQ Lake Crescent, WA I want to come back and stay at this lake lodge – it was very Dirty Dancing to me with cute bungalows and a big main house
Everything was coated in moss and ferns on our hike to the Marymere Falls. It was misty and so peaceful – probably my favorite part of the trip!

The falls were running so strong that day – we got all got wet from the mistMagic hour light shining down on the ocean on our last night evening in Port Angeles. The mountains above Port Angeles seen from out on the spit peeking out from the clouds It was a wonderful week and we’re looking forward to go back and visiting them again. It’s so nice to have family living within driving distance now! I can’t wait to see this beautiful area again in the summer and get to adventure more of their favorite places.

Hope you all had a wonderful Spring break or spring trip if you got to go on one. 🙂 Let me know in the comments where you went and what your favorite part was!
